Mark Henderson reviews our 2018 Marlborough Sauvignon

2016 Mahi Single Vineyard Boundary Farm Marlborough Sauvignon BlancPrice: $29.90Rating: Excellent Hints of struck match, burnt toast, feijoa, pea and citrus on the nose. Bright and textural palate, real richness that completely fills the mouth adding tropical fruits, citrus and an undercurrent of herbs and wood smoke. A sweet fruit core, touch of chewiness and a very long finish. Completely outside the mainstream, nodding to Europe, and fascinatingly different.

Cameron Douglas Reviews our 2018 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc

Mahi continues to produce excellent wines at very affordable prices – this SB from the 2018 vintage is no exception. Mahi Sauvignon Blanc 2018 Marlborough Vibrant, intense, spicy, fruity and complex attack with aromas of lemon and sweet hay, fresh bell-pepper, a creamy barrel ferment layer, golden kiwi and gooseberry. All these ideas turn into flavours on the palate emphasised by acidity, barrel spice, warming alcohol and a core of varietal lusciousness. Lengthy finish, great balance and immediate appeal. Drink now and through 2023. 94 Points

Sam Kim – Wine Orbit94 Points / 5 starsSeductively complex, the wine shows dark fruit, olive, earthy mushroom, warm spice and almond characters on the nose, leading to a concentrated palate that is expansive and silky. MARK HENDERSON REVIEWS OUR 2018 PINOT GRIS

2018 Mahi Marlborough Pinot Gris Rating: Very good Youthful yeast esters, struck match, a stony/saline note with stonefruits building. Sherbet and pear on the tighter, chewy palate which accents its stony, minerally side, tending to the savoury/saline spectrum. Medium weight, the fruit growing with aeration, as it develops a tangy, sweet and sour feel through the close.
